Summer is right around the corner! Help us celebrate by participating in the first-ever Hume Springs Garden Walk, generously co-sponsored by the Hume Springs Civic Association and Dale Street Community Garden!
WHEN: Rain Date will be Sunday, June 23, from 10 AM - 12 PM
WHERE: Meet at the Dale Street Community Garden, followed by a stroll through Hume Springs
WHAT'S A GARDEN WALK? It's a chance to celebrate the beauty and creativity of our neighborhood, build community and socialize with your neighbors, and take a peek or show off your own Hume Springs outdoor space.
WANT TO GET INVOLVED?
Host a garden stop: As a host, you'll be included on the Garden Walk map and welcome attendees to stop by your front or back yard to check out your garden, raised beds, or whatever brings you joy in your outdoor space! Anyone is welcome to host! Sign up here to learn more.
Volunteer: Volunteers are needed to help on the day of, and before the Garden Walk. Volunteer tasks don't take much time, and you can still participate in the walk! For more information, sign up here.
Participate as an attendee: As an attendee, you will be given a map of garden crawl host sites and will walk around Hume Springs enjoying your friendly neighbors' outdoor spaces at your own pace.
The Garden Walk will kick off at 10 AM at the Dale Street Community Garden, where food, beverages, garden giveaways, and a tour of the community garden will be provided. Bring a flower pot if you have one! Free flowers will be provided so you can bring them home to your very own outdoor space (we'll have extra pots if needed).
